I am currently based in an older adult mental health service and offer specialist secondary services to older adults and their families who are referred through Community Mental Health Teams (CMHTs), Memory Assessment Services and In-patient units.
 
My responsibilities include:
·         Provision of neuropsychological assessments and neuropsychological rehabilitation to older adults and younger adults presenting with potentially degenerative conditions.
·         Provision of psychological assessment and formulation for individuals, couples and families with complex mental health problems.
·         Provision of formulation driven psychological interventions drawing on a range of therapeutic approaches including; cognitive behavioural therapy, systemic approaches, schema focused therapy and EMDR.
·         Consultation within multi-disciplinary teams and other health professionals in community, external care agencies and in-patient settings.
·         Supervision of a range of health care professional’s including; clinical psychologists, trainee clinical psychologists, team manager, occupational therapist and nurses.
·         Teaching to a range of groups including; members of multi-disciplinary teams (medical staff and other health care professionals), in-patient staff, the local training scheme for clinical psychologists and external care agencies.
·         Liaison Tutor for the Exeter Doctoral program for Somerset and as such organise and co-ordinate up to 7 placements within older adult and working age adult specialties.
·         Co-ordinate and facilitate a 'Behaviour that Challenges Us' course for Trust staff and external care agencies.
